Yo Kai Dreamscape
A downloadable game
Project Brief: A2 Creative Project
The A2 Creative Project challenges learners to collaboratively create an engaging game inspired by the popular “Animal Crossing” style, utilizing a hexagon map system. The project aims to adhere to a PEGI 7 rating and embrace a low-poly aesthetic.
Story:
The game is set in the mind of a child during their dreams. In this dream world, malevolent forces have pushed yo-kai out of a shrine. It becomes the child’s responsibility to gather these yo-kai and rebuild the shrine. As they collect more yo-kai, the shrine gradually takes shape.
To achieve this, the child must explore various biomes and collect specific components to summon different yo-kai. Players can reference an in-game book in their inventory to learn which components they need and where to find them.
